Elevation Outdoors is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2007 by Tori Hanson and a group of individuals who saw a need for outdoor programs in their community. The organization was created with the goal of breaking down barriers and helping young people find new passions and lead healthier, happier lives. It all started with the "Learn to Shred" program, which attracted six participants, and since then, Elevation Outdoors has expanded to include a variety of outdoor programs, including snowboarding, mountain biking, rock climbing, and sailing.

Elevation Outdoors is open to youth and families, and scholarships are available to make the programs accessible to everyone. The organization provides all necessary equipment and transportation to a common meeting point, so all participants need to bring is a positive attitude and a willingness to try something new. Each program is led by a team of volunteer mentors who are passionate about the activity and are there to build positive relationships with the participants. Elevation Outdoors strives to maintain a low participant-to-mentor ratio, typically 3:1 or lower, to facilitate meaningful conversations and connections.

Since its inception, Elevation Outdoors has had a positive impact on hundreds of young people, helping them discover new passions and live healthier lifestyles through its programs. The organization is dedicated to continuing this important work and providing outdoor programs that inspire and empower young people.

Adaptive Adventures is an organization that aims to make outdoor urban experiences accessible to people with physical, cognitive, or sensory challenges. We understand that certain barriers may prevent some individuals from fully participating in outdoor activities, so we strive to provide the necessary support, equipment, and experienced staff to facilitate adventures for anyone, regardless of their ability level. Our programs are based in the beautiful Okanagan region of British Columbia, where we offer time-based trips for a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, paddling, cycling, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.

At Adaptive Adventures, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to explore and enjoy the great outdoors. That's why we have made our programs open to people of all abilities, and we work hard to ensure that everyone feels included and supported. We are proud to offer our programs at no cost to participants thanks to funding from various sources, and we are committed to giving back to our local communities by keeping all contributions within the region.

In addition to our programs at Adaptive Adventures, we are proud to partner with CRIS, a pioneer in adaptive recreation. CRIS offers a range of programs tailored to the needs and interests of participants, from beginner explorers to seasoned wilderness enthusiasts. No matter what your experience level or goals, CRIS has an opportunity for you to get outside, challenge yourself, and have fun.
